Five ways to make HD lace truly invisible

Tinting, plucking and the adhesive order that actually holds in humidity.

HD lace is thin enough to disappear — but only when it is prepared for your skin tone and your climate. Accra humidity is unforgiving, so the order of operations matters as much as the products.

Tint first. A light mist of lace tint or a dusting of foundation two shades deeper than your skin keeps the lace from going grey under flash photography.

Pluck sparingly and unevenly. A perfectly straight hairline reads as a wig; scattered, gradual density looks grown.

Cleanse the perimeter with alcohol, apply a thin scalp protector, then two to three thin layers of adhesive, drying each until tacky. Thin layers hold longer than one thick one.

Finally, lay the lace, band it down for ten minutes, and set with a light-hold spray. Cut the lace after it has bonded, following the natural curve of your hairline.
